Play Disney Parks

As a Product Designer at the Walt Disney Company, I led and co-led 2 big projects for the Play Disney Parks App - creating the app’s first onboarding experience and redesigning / uplifting a main feature on the app - the InQueue Game Cards.

Impact overview

  • New onboarding experience increased user retention

  • Game card redesign

    • Increased user engagement

    • Unlocked content scalability, allowing us to add MUCH more content on each game card - eg. a media gallery, company sponsorships, achievements, tying into other app features more holistically, etc.

    • Laid the foundation for UI and interaction for future app content

My roles & responsibilities

Role: Product Designer

Responsibilities: UX/UI, wireframes, interaction design, prototyping, illustration

Increased user retention by creating the app’s first holistic onboarding experience

Created an engaging way for guests to get started the app, strategically highlighting our key experiences to guests both in the parks and at home.

Increased user engagement by redesigning our In-Queue Game Cards

These are the entry points into all of our interactive games - providing a description of the games, information on how to unlock them, and an overview of the achievements you’ve earned so far. I co-led the redesign of this card to improve readability, make it more scalable to account for new app content, and implement other key features such as a media gallery.
